Information and Instructions for WWCA Nominations of Awards and Elected Positions

The 2019-2020 WWCA nominations for seasonal awards and next year’s elected positions is now closed as of March 26. 

Voting will begin soon to fill the following positions:

  • 2019-2020 WWCA District Coaches of the Year (one per district)
  • 2019-2020 WWCA Assistant Coach of the Year
  • 2019-2020 Wrestler of the Year (must be a senior)
  • WWCA District 1 Representative (four year term)
  • WWCA District 2 Representative (four year term)

If you have reached a milestone of wins (200,300,400, 500, 600 and etc.), please self-report to Tim Potratz at  by September 1, 2020.  If you will accomplish years of service of 20, 30, 40 or 50 years in 2020-2021, please self-report to Tim Potratz at  by September 1, 2020.

2019 Coaching Recognition and Awards

Annually at the WWCA Coaches Convention & Clinic the Association recognizes members for achievements and milestones.  Honors include, but are not limited to the following; career wins, years of coaching, conference team champiohships and others.

You will find categories and information regarding the awards process at  "Awards". 

You may report accomplishments of others or self-report accomplishments by emailing Awards Chairman Tim Potratz at or email at link below.

If your high school team won their Conference Championship please report the name of the high school and the head coach(es).

Wisconsin Wrestling Challenge Series

Welcome to the Wisconsin Wrestling Challenge Series, the largest 'in season' wrestling tournament anywhere! Over 1,400 wrestlers from across Wisconsin competing at eight Region events to qualify for the Finals held in Wausau. 

Over 400 wrestlers compete at the finals including top Region finishers as well as the Wisconsin Challenge Series Girls Championships. Make sure your team enters the WWCS!
